Terms & Conditions of Hire Terms & Conditions for Hire of Rooms at Gloucester District Scouting Center (Murray Hall) IN CONSIDERATION of the above hirings to the Booking Secretary, C/0 Murray Hall, Tuffley Lane, Tuffley Gloucester Gl4 0NU (Telephone 0844 588 9755) on behalf of the Gloucester District Scout Council, The following conditions apply:- I) All bookings must be agreed in advance with the Booking Secretary (This includes the room as agreed) 2) This Condition applies to all hirers of the Main Hall. During the hiring the emergency exit door from the Main Hall must be unlocked at the start of the hiring and if retained, it must be on the panic bolt only. (This Is to comply with the hire regulations applicable to Murray Hall.) 3) All persons present are made aware of the location of emergency exit doors and fire extinguishers 4) The maximum number of people present in the building at any one time must not exceed 150. 5) Gloucester District Scout Council will be reimbursed the full cost of any repairs or replacements necessary due to damage or misuse caused during the hiring, or any costs incurred as a result of any non compliance of the terms of this agreement. 6) The Gloucester District Scout Council does not accept liability for any loss of or damage to any vehicles or property while on its premises, Equally the Gloucester District Scout Council does not accept liability for any harm or injury that may be suffered by any person using or visiting its premises under this Agreement unless due to its negligence. 7) It is understood that Murray Hall is not licensed under the Licensing Act 2003 and that it is the responsibility of the hirer to establish if a licence is required, and if required, apply for it, obtain it and pay for it, including payment of any associated fees. 8) A charge may be made for the replacement of any unreturned keys loaned to you as part of this agreement 9. Payment (Via cash, cheque or Bank transfer) should be made prior to the event, usually at the time of collecting the keys (cheques to be made payable to “Gloucester District Scout Council”- Bank account details are available on request for bank transfers) 10. Once agreed, a booking must be cancelled in writing with at least 7 days notice, or a £5.00 per booking cancellation fee may be levied. On completion of the hire :- Ensure that all chairs and tables are put back tidily in their correct storage spaces. Tum the electric power off at the main switch located by the external kitchen door. Close and lock all windows and securely fasten all shutters. Switch off all lights and heaters at their respective switches. Leave the site clean and tidy and take away all rubbish arising from the hiring. Lock ALL external doors including the emergency exit door from the Main Hall. Close and lock the perimeter gate. Leave Keys in gate post box
